Awards Season

For those of you who don’t know, awards season is upon us. What awards? The most coveted awards in the television and movie industry – the Golden Globe, SAG and The Academy Awards.

Unfortunately, I care very little about who actually wins the awards. It’s accomplishment enough to be nominated correct, right? What I do care about is the fashion. Who wore what and what wore who.

Let’s start with the Golden Globe awards that took place earlier this January. The Golden Globes is the chance to show the world what you’ve got. It’s the starting line, if you come out on top at the end of this show, you might have a chance of winning the whole thing. That is if you’re invited.

My best dressed for the Golden Globes?

Michelle Dockery from Downtown Abby. This Alexandre Vauthier dress screams fabulous. Dockery pulls it off effortlessly. I’m have been very partial to gold lately, so when I saw this, I almost died. I would give my left arm for this dress, but then again, I probably wouldn’t even come close to looking this amazing.

Honorable mentions: Kate Hudson (also rocked the gold)

Next is the SAG Awards. The fashion tension is a little higher here. If you didn’t rock it at the Golden Globes, you still have another chance (I’m looking at you, Jessica Chastain).

My best dressed for the SAG Awards?

Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen! This is by far my favorite look from the night. She looks absolutely stunning. The detail at the bottom of the dress is what has me sold, not that I wasn’t pretty close to buying from the rest of the look.

Honorable mention: Nina Dobrev in a gorgeous ready-to-wear Elie Saab gown.

Now, we wait until the biggest night in Hollywood fashion, The Academy Awards.I am hoping to see at least one Elie Saab haute couture gown. His show for fashion week was nothing short of absolutely amazing.

It’s going to be tough to wait to see what looks the stars will be unveiling. But I’m sure with a month’s time, I will be amazed. Hopefully.
